Anything super unique about the big day?
The bride wore a red wedding dress, the groom and the groomsmen wore Jordans.

We hired Versastyle Events to coordinate everything we just gave her our vision.

Where did you wed and why did you pick the venue/site?
We wed at The Fairmont in Atlanta, GA. We picked the venue because it was beautiful, modern, and unique.

The Fashion
Tell us about the wedding dress!
My favorite color is red! So I knew I wanted it to be the color of my wedding dress and I wanted everything totally different, not like everyone I saw. So I met with a local dressmaker named Ben and I gave him my vision he sent me some pictures and the rest was history. My makeup was done by Shaun and my hair was done by my longtime friend Maria Shaw of Unleashed By Maria. My makeup was very natural as I did not want to be over the top and take away from how I look every day and my hair was pinned up into a sleek chignon.

Describe the Groom’s and Groomsmen look
The groom and groomsmen wore a custom jackets from Miquel Wilson Collection. The groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos with black and red Jordan 1’s. The groom wore a black and white tuxedo jacket with Concord 12’s.

What inspired your theme/style? What was your color palette? Why was it important to you?
The theme entailed hearts. The wedding style was untraditional, unique, and custom to us. The color palette was red black and white. It was important to us because it was an expression of our love.

Ceremony & Reception
Tell us about your ceremony décor.
The space was very simple with white chairs and green flower decor with pops of red flowers and our custom made heart canvas on a floral green wall at the end of the aisle.

During the ceremony did you use and religious or cultural elements or traditions?
We had someone recite an African proverb, hand a sand ceremony, and we jumped the broom.

Describe your cake.
We chose Ice Cream cake from Dairy Queen because that is what we love.
