How did you all meet?
The engagement was a complete surprise I was under the impression that we were attending a surprise for a family member. I actually hated my dress I had on, but I love it now lol. I was irritated because I thought we came to early for the surprise, and I wanted to get it over with and celebrate my graduation with my then boyfriend.

Where did you all go on your honeymoon?
We went to the beautiful country of St. Lucia and we loved every minute of our time on the island. Our first choice was Italy, but a travel agent warned us on the temperature around the time our honeymoon would be and we decided St. Lucia would be a better option for both of us.

Any tips you would share with other couples getting married? Think about the type of wedding you want and the number of guest you will have, and formulate a realistic budget to stick to. Do not get caught up in the process and forget the reason for all of this, do not forget to focus on your relationship.

What was your planning experience like?
No, we pulled everything off ourselves, but we did have two “day of planners”. I would definitely recommend an event planner if it fits in your budget.

Where did you wed and why did you pick the venue/site?
Our wedding was held at Orchid Garden in Downtown Orlando. This was the first venue we went to go see and it was breathtaking. Every venue we saw after that did not compare and it went well with our wedding colors. It was not a traditional wedding venue and we liked that the most.

The Fashion
Tell us about the wedding dress!
The sweetheart style fit my petite body flawlessly, but it did take me a while to find the perfect dress. I wanted a dress with a lot of beading and details. I decided to wear my hair in a soft updo for an elegant look and my makeup was soft for a natural look on my big day.

Describe the Groom’s and Groomsmen look
The groom wore a suit from HUGO boss and his dudes ordered from ASOS.

Your Wedding Style
What inspired your theme/style? What was your color palette? Why was it important to you?
I knew for sure I wanted a little razzle, dazzle and my husband and I loved the idea of black and white together. We decided on black and white with a hint of gold.
