What was the reason for the celebration?
This was truly a celebration of life. Dericka never thought she was going to make it to see her 40th birthday because of all her trials and health scares in life.
What is something fun you remembered either about the process or the big day?
She loves girly things and her reaction when we showed her the floral vanity as her picture backdrop was priceless.
Anything super unique about the big day?
Custom napkin rings commemorating the 40th benchmark in her life was created and also dubbed as party favors for all the guest to enjoy. Custom blooming vases were created to represent a new beginning.
What was your planning experience like?
I hired LSJ Events, LLC. My experience when planning was pleasant, informative, a great feeling of understanding to achieve the overall goal.
The Location
The location was the client’s home. I wanted to create a close intimate setting where she can feel comfortable and enjoy. (There is no place like home.)
The Fashion
How did you pick your event day outfit?
The dress was chosen because its color and material purple undertones and shiny and glamorous.
What inspired your theme/style?
I wanted my client to feel like a queen amongst her family and friends. It was important to transform her home into an elegant event. Color palate – plum and gold with accents of black and ivory. It was important to use her favorite color (all shades of purple). I felt plum was a soft representation of purple and also rich and vibrant.
Party Details
What inspired your party style?
I choose the purple shade – plum because it’s a softer but rich color. The black sequence table linen was chosen to add a little sophisticated glam to the place setting. The 24k gold reef charger plates and flatware added flare to the design. The Purple Victorian glasses were selected from Z-Gallerie because the color, gold trim, and diamond opulence was a perfect complement to uplift the tablescape. The custom napkin rings favors by LPcreationz added a subtle flare to the double-layered plum and gold satin napkins. The custom blooming vases (by Lpcreationz) were created for the floral centerpieces representing a new beginning. The ice sculpture (by Miami Ice Man) added more sophistication to the design as well as put a bold stamp on the benchmarked celebration.
