Twins, Chase and Kali Scott, turned three in pure whimsical style, with a Beauty & The Beast themed birthday party, held at Twinkle Play Space in Brooklyn, NY.In true fairy tale style, the twins wore birthday outfits, that resembled the Beauty and the Beast theme, and made sure not to leave their guests out, by providing the girls with yellow princess tutus, and the boys with furry beast inspired masks and gloves. Totally in awe of this lavish event, we asked the party planner and designer ,December Vaughn Acosta , a few questions for more details about the twin’s big day.

What is something fun you remembered either about the process or the big day?
Watching the remake of Beauty & The Beast was so much fun, kind of like being a kid all over again. We gained so much inspiration for the design of this event.

Anything super unique about the big day?
I would say the giant slide in the center of the party along with the fairy tale forest, Belle traveled through to get to the beast; made this a super unique birthday celebration

What inspired your party style?
Centerpieces and decor were all inspired by the movie. We made sure to incorporate tons of books as we all know Belle loves to read.

What menu items did you serve?
All kid fun food (Corn dogs, pizza etc.) and theme related treats Describe your cake/desserts.I sketched the design out and sent over to our baker; Karen. It was all edible, confetti flavored with strawberry filling.

How did you come up with your event day playlist?
Of course we played the entire beauty and the beast soundtrack along with remix versions of the most popular songs such as “Overture” by Alan Menken & “Be Our Guest” by Ewan McGregor & friends. The twins Love the Dlow Shuffle, so we had to slip a few line dance songs into their playlist.

Any tips you would share with others planning an event?
If it’s a themed event; study every aspect of the theme. Bring it to life on paper before pitching to your client. Live it. Sketch it.
