Any tips you would share with others planning an event?
In planning an event of this magnitude, give yourself time, at least three months, to source vendors and other order products. No one wants the headache of paying exhorbit shipping fees for last minute decisions.

Anything super unique about the big day?
Each guest received a tricked out gift bag. In the gift bag they received a stuffed unicorn with an adoption certificate, a bathing suit, unicorn headband, and a coloring book.

What was your planning experience like?
I was an event planning for many years, but with a business, three kids, and a full time job I went ahead and hired an event stylist to bring all my ideas together and execute the day of setup.

What inspired your theme/style?
The basis for the colors came from the illustration designed of the girls with a pink unicorn. I wanted the colors for the day to be soft with punches of vibrant colors like coral. Overall, we used pastels.

What inspired your party style?
I knew I wanted a balloon table runner paired with simple rose centerpieces. It allowed me to have a playful yet sophisticated tablescape.

What menu items did you serve?
The menu for the children was simple, personal sized pizzas and French fries along with grilled hotdogs. The adults has a wide selection of foods.

Describe your cake/desserts.
Our children are of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent, so we had to have a Dulce de Leche flavored cake. The letter cookie cakes were this flavor. The unicorn cake was a simple vanilla buttercream cake with rainbow colored cake on the inside.
