Bridal Shower: Rose Wedding Shower

This wedding shower is to celebrate the couple’s 5-year vow renewal. Frantz and I renewed their vows on May 17, 2019. They got married on Valentine’s Day in 2014 with only their pastor, his wife and a friend present. They waited 5 years for a big celebration, so they could have the event of their dreams.

What is something fun you remembered either about the process or the big day?
Everything about the wedding shower was FUN. I had an amazing time. The decors were beautiful and the games were fun. Frantz gave me a lap dance. I wasn’t expecting that at all. But it was enjoyable and I laughed so hard.

Anything super unique about the big day?
I think my decor was unique. As a designer/planner, I wanted to do something bold, yet simple and modern with a vintage twist. My mimosa bar was also different. I added candelabras with yellow taper candles, a floral backdrop, and flowers on the table design.

Fashion
How did you pick your event day outfit?
I know I wanted something short and in the color aqua. I spent months looking and finally found the dress that speaks to me. I ordered my dress 6 months before the wedding shower just in case I wanted to change it. But I loved it.

Party Details
What inspired your party style?
I wanted something modern and colorful with a vintage twist. I love colors so it was fun working with all those colors. I had white lanterns with pillar candles inside them and flowers around the lanterns on white elevation boxes. I also add gold vintage votives with tealights inside them. I added mason jars with gold straws for guests to drink from.

What menu items did you serve?
We had Haitian food.
