We are sure basketball will never be the same for Celeste and Jason! They got engaged in front of hundreds of Atlanta Hawks fans and now they are preparing to say their “I do’s” in front of all of their friends and family. As they get ready for the big day, swoon over these gorgeous engagement photos and learn a little more about the couple!

How did you two meet?
We met on South Beach in Miami, Fl during spring break in 2009. We crossed paths in the hotel we were both staying at for the weekend.

Tell us about the perfect proposal!
The proposal was a fairly big surprise. I proposed to Celeste at the Atlanta Hawks (Detroit Pistons) game on December 30, 2016. It took place during the second time out of the second quarter during the commercial break. It was during a cool portion of the timeout break called “kiss cam” which they show couples kissing on the jumbo tron. When that camera came around to us last instead of a kiss I got on one knee to ask Celeste to marry me. I also secretly invited her siblings and best friends to the game to experience the proposal.

For the engagement session, why did you pick the location that you choose? Did anyone help you choose the spot?
I selected the location, which was our plan b. The initial location was Piedmont Park, but it rained the majority of the day. I found a few hotels which beautiful views that worked out well. No one helped me pick the location but I had a few people confirm that it was a great place to do an engagement shoot. We shot the last portion of our shoot at the Jackson St. Bridge which has one of the best views of the Atlanta skyline.

How did you pull off the perfect look? Was there a theme?
Celeste, who has a eye for fashion, picked my look and hers. She did a great job in selecting what we wore for the engagement session. The Theme of our shoot and wedding is “A Night In The Lights” and we were able to get some great pictures at the end of our shoot to match our theme.

How is the planning going?
The planning is a lot less stressful now, but it has been fairly challenging over the past year. It took a few months before we selected and reelected our location but now things are beginning to fall into place. We are trying to embrace the entire process.

What is the biggest thing you are looking forward too on the day of?
I think we are both looking forward to everything about the day! We are praying for great weather because it is a rooftop wedding. We also hope everything looks exactly like we envision it. Most importantly, we are looking to become one in front and God and our love ones.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful engagement shoot, Jason and Celeste! We cannot wait to see your big day!
