Kaszia and Michael’s engagement session is the epitome of Black Excellence! This couple did two amazing looks for their Atlanta Engagement Session. The couple decided to do classic black tie as well as a comfortable every day look! Here is their story:
Q: Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?
A: Well we met at work and I was actually Michael’s supervisor 🙂 While I was his supervisor the relationship was strictly platonic. I was dating someone at the time so I never looked at Michael like that. However, he was one of my best team members so we did work closely together and ended up building a friendship. I ended up getting promoted and left. After a few months of being gone I received a phone call from one of my peers telling me that Michael had been promoted. I was so excited and decided to call and congratulate him and offered to take him out for drinks to celebrate! He humbly agreed, we met at Tin Lizzy’s and the moment we sat down and began talking chemistry sparks started to fly! It seemed as though everyone in the room vanished and it was just us………After a few hours of mind stimulating conversation he asked if he could take me out again and of course I said yes and we’ve been together ever since.
Q: What makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together. (example: pushing each other to new limits, love to travel, huge comic book fans, foodies, etc.) What makes your relationship unique?
A: Our relationship is unique because we both had almost given up on love. We had been hurt in past relationships and didn’t know how we would let someone back in. We both trusted each other and let our guards down at the same time which was a very beautiful thing. Since we decided to take a chance with each other we have been diligent in handling the other persons heart with care which has made our bond very strong. In addition, we’re both movie buffs and foodies so we enjoy seeing and tasting things together for the first time 🙂
Q: How did you know your partner was the one? When did you first know this in your relationship? (these may often be the same moment, but aren’t always)
A: We both knew that we were the one when we went on our 2nd date and shut the restaurant down. It was 2:30am and we had been sitting at the table talking and laughing since 8:00pm. The waitress literally had tell us that they were closed because everyone but us and the manager had left lol. We admitted to each other after we started dating that leaving the table that night we both knew it was the start of something very special…….
Q: Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?
A: The proposal was epic! The video that the photographer (Neshaszda Z. Photography) took actually went viral and has over 100,000 views on YouTube. I planned a trip to Tybee Island for his birthday and he told me that while we were there he would like to do a birthday photo shoot on the beach. So my sister met us there to do what I thought was a photo shoot. He then blind folded me and said he had a surprise which I thought would be some flowers or a picnic set up near the water. When I took the blindfold off he threw rose petals in the air and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!! I was so surprised! I dropped my jaw in shock then laughed then smiled then cried as I fell into his arms and said YES! He definitely did that! Him and my sister planned it perfectly and got it all on camera so that we can have that memory forever…….
Q: We’re all about the bling… Tell us all about that ring!
A: My ring is BEAUTIFUL! It is a brilliant Tolkowsky Princess Cut Diamond framed with round diamonds as the centerpiece. Tolkowsky diamonds are precisely designed to maximize the brilliance and dispersion of light on the Princess Cut so I’m honored to have one and could not be more satisfied!
Q: Are you excited to start planning your wedding day? Do you have any ideas in mind yet?
A: Yes! Excited is not even the word! We are filled with joy and happiness and genuinely look forward to doing life with each other. We have a few ideas in mind but we can’t share because we want our guests to be surprised!
Thank you so much for sharing Kaszia and Michael and we cannot wait for your big day!
xoxo,
