What was the reason for the celebration?
This was our engagement shoot to celebrate and captivate the essence of our romance for our upcoming wedding. Our love story began with Ernst’s trip to Miami, FL for a mutual friend baby shower. There was an after-party gathering in which I attended and there Ernst took notice of me and asked me to dance. The weekend came to an end and Ernst was on his way back to Boston, MA. I received a message from Ernst and a trip to Boston, MA was in my future which has led us to #DauphinJusQaLaFin.

What is something fun you remembered either about the process or the big day?
The shoot was beyond admirable. From the beginning of picking out our outfits to executing the looks, our team (Dominique from DLC Innovation, Melisa from Lux Lifestyle LLC, and Marcelin’s from Dynasty by Marcelin) were our biggest hype men. They knew what kind of couple we are and they helped us exude the romance and fun in our relationship into our photos. We had so much fun shooting and the photos surpassed our vision.

Tell us about the proposal.

The proposal took place January 5, 2020 at Top Golf. After enjoying the day with family at Abigail’s sister baby shower, the expecting parents decided to do a final outing with the couple before they flew out the next day. Abigail had no idea what was in store and all who were involved in this event. While Abigail was up mid-putt, her sister started distracting her with pregnancy “aches.” A concerned Abigail does not even realize Ernst getting down on one knee until its too late. With a big smile she answered “YES!”

Any tips you would share with others planning an event?
Having the perfect team makes a difference. Our wedding planner Mel, photographer Dominique, and videographer Karvisual captured our style and personality so perfectly. This is the best investment we could have made for our wedding. These are memories we are going to have for a lifetime.
