Although meeting in middle school, while singing in the choir , Rebecca had no idea that years later music would play a huge part in a moment that changed her life forever.  Geoffrey being the musician that he is , planned an incredible surprise , that not only included the ultimate proposal, but also allowed him to literally sing his heart out, professing his undying love for Rebecca. With a proposal like this, what girl would say no?!  Before the couple head down the aisle , they made sure to capture their love , with an engagement photo-shoot , making sure to include locations that are special to their love story. We made sure to get all the deets!

How did you all meet?
Geoffrey and I met in middle school (Frank L Wiley middle school) singing in Wiley challenge choir. We started dating later in high school!

Tell us about the perfect proposal:
On November 2nd 2017 the love of my life asked me to be his wife. He wrote letters to my parents and grandparents asking for my hand in marriage. Later he explained to me how he purchased concert tickets for us to see Kirk Franklin and Ledisi while on tour, he also explained how he had already purchased my plane ticket to fly in the day of. The night came and I was totally excited to see Kirk Franklin and to see the love of my life! Geoff mentioned that he would have to sing at some point during the concert. He walks on stage slowly with a mic in hand and sings my name (literally) as he asked me to come on stage. He professed his love for me despite the years of ups and downs, infront of our family/friends and asked me to be his wife! I was speechless so I shook my head “Yes”! He planned it perfectly and to my surprise had my Mother, grandmother, and his parents plus some of my Bestfriend’s in the audience.

For the engagement session, why did you pick the location that you choose? Did anyone help you in selecting the location?
Our amazing photographer, Omari picked both locations. The second location was really special because it is where we both attended high school.

How did you pull off the perfect look? Was there a theme?
I was actually nervous about my look at first but the stylist did an amazing job of picking the perfect colors. The colors were similar to the color we wore for Geoffrey’s senior prom!

How is the planning going?
Planning is going great!!!! I’m excited to get to June 7th and meet my love to say “I Do”

What is the biggest thing you are looking forward too on the day of?

The biggest thing I am looking forward to would have to be dancing the night away with our family and friends!
