Meet our Company Owner
Maureen Apugo
Maureen Apugo is a proud Marylander. She was born and raised in Baltimore, and graduated from local area schools. As a child she excelled in her arts classes, and participated in art competitions. After grade school Maureen attended University of Maryland and received her bachelors. Subsequently she attended University of Baltimore School of Law and received her law degree from the institution.
Maureen is a barred attorney. She is a tenacious advocate that represents indigent clients in their legal matters.
On the heels of graduating law school, Maureen created a vision board for the new year. One of her goals was to create a business that allowed her to tap back into her creative side. She did not know what that business was until two years later, when she was tasked with planning and decorating her younger sister's bridal shower and igba nkwu (a traditional wedding ceremony in Igbo culture -- Maureen is a proud Nigerian American, and member of the Igbo tribe.) Maureen instantly fell in love with the decorating process, and from there ESQuisite Events was born.
What sets us apart from other decor companies? Its owner, Maureen, understands and knows the significance of details because she is an attorney. The legal profession demands its members to pay attention to every period, comma, and bullet point. Therefore, attention to details comes as second nature.
While ESQuisite Events may be one of the newer decor companies on the scene, it is making a name for itself, as it has managed to gain a large clientele and decorate numerous intimate events during the Coronavirus pandemic. The business has decorated for prominent names in the hair and beauty industries in both Baltimore and the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. ESQuisite Events is a company with so much more to give to the event industry.
