Niq Williams Events is lead by Founder and Principal Planner & Designer, Christie Niq (Nick) Williams. Christie is a Carolina girl and a graduate from North Carolina A&T State University. While planning her own 2006 wedding and helping family/friends with their events, Christie fell in love with impacting lives through proper planning and designing life's most precious events. Therefore, she left her corporate career in 2009 to plan/design events full time. In Christie's free time, she loves karaoke, dancing, and relaxing on the beach.

From the moment I reached out to Christie of Niq Williams Events for our wedding, she displayed the utmost professionalism. She was also very reassuring regarding my budget (that I eventually blew, lol). I had taken notice of her work, and a neighbor had used her services for their wedding. A girlfriend had also strongly considered her as well when she was planning her wedding. I was engaged on July 5th and within a month we had booked Christie. Within the next month we had settled on a date and venue. We worked with Christie for about 11 months and had full service design and planning. She handled multiple hiccups and nuisances seamlessly, and helped us achieve the wedding of our dreams. From catering, videography, photography, DJ, floral, décor, event management, timeline, stationery, dress fittings, transportation, hair, make-up, to my delicious cake and proper rules of etiquette. #ClubColeman as it was later termed, was unforgettable. Words cannot begin to express our gratitude to Christie & the Niq Williams Event Team. We can honestly say that Christie did an outstanding job on our special day. I do not know or even understand how anyone would attempt to plan a wedding without a planner. There were so many times that I would lose focus and forget things but behold, the best wedding planner in the universe kept me on track. I experienced little to no stress at all because MY wedding planner was on it. I had my very own personal Lady in Waiting named Keisha who was a GEM by my side the whole day that took care of my every need & my husband had his very own assistant, named Murdock who was also the best, that took care all of his needs for the day that removed all stress that people sometimes experience on their wedding day. My husband & I wish we could relive our wedding over & over just to take it all in once more. EVERYTHING Christie & her team created/design/executed was absolutely breathe taking. Our guests were just as blown away as we were.
I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding coordinator than Christie! Especially considering that I’m very type A about organization and that I was having a large cultural wedding. Christie made my wedding feel like it was the only wedding on her plate. I had to remind myself that she had other weddings she was planning many times. She was always prompt in answering any questions or concerns I had and she was always on time and professional and sweet. Especially since this was a concern I had after hearing a lot of other planners were extremely difficult to reach. I was sometimes surprised to see her up replying to a mail I had sent at 10pm. All the details for my vendors and wedding were organized and she ensured everything went as planned and always reached out to me to check in on how everything was going. The decor was also done by her which everyone loved and was affordable. Do yourself a big favor and sign onto her team before your date gets booked up. Will definitely be using her and her team for any future celebrations I have.
