Shamica Sweat
Shamica Sweat is the Founder and Lead Planner at Shamica & Co. Trained and mentored by celebrity event planners Kathy Romero and Sasha Souza, and with over ten years of experience under her belt she now gives back to the event industry teaching new and aspiring event planners how to succeed in the business. Shamica has always had a passion for planning events and an uncanny eye for design and knew at the age of 13 that weddings would always be a part of her life. Her passion for weddings goes far beyond the wedding date. Shamica supports her couples in marriage and is planning to launch her newest venture of marriage retreats and workshops with a focus on not only helping couples to get married but supporting them in staying married.
Shamica resides in Dallas, with her husband and two children.

Love is beautiful, But it’s also funny in the ways it works. The day I met my wife I immediately knew she was the ONE. So Why wait, right? The challenge of that was that Shamica had a little over 90 days to coordinate a wedding for us. The fact that that we were in California and were planning a Dallas wedding didn’t make her job any easier. But that didn’t stop her magic. Writing this review today, from the Groom’s vantage point, nearly 2 months after our big day, I can confidently say that I couldn’t have been happier with Shamica and how she delivered. Our wedding was so beautiful, an evening full of memories for our friends & family. The pics captured the magic, beauty of the day, and they do remind me everyday that Shamica & my wife played a significant part of that success. I guess the most important metric I like to use is this. Would I recommend Shamica to my closest friends or family? That’s easy. A resounding “Yes” is my answer. Absolutely!
Where do we start! I was so anxious about our wedding day and I knew we needed someone to help plan our wedding. We had over 200 guest to come and I started to lose it. We found Shamica and she calmed me down to the point of I didn’t have to worry about a thing. She was really patient, listened to our ideas, had great suggestions that we used like our great entertainment (Leonardo)! She had everything under control. Any and everything my family or I needed, it was like she knew beforehand. I can tell that she has experience doing this because she had a solution to everything. She made it so easy for us!
