How did you all meet?
From the Bride’s Perspective: Gary actually was taking me out on our anniversary of when we first meet. He planned an evening out on the town, which he is always doing something sweet, so I paid no mind to it. This particular night he got a little extra “Spiffy”. He made reservations at my favorite restaurant, Jimmy’s Seafood and Steak House in Bossier City, LA. As we began dinner and great conversation the night started to shift. He grabbed my hand and expressed his love for me and what I meant to him and then he let go and reached in his coat pocket. At that moment the room and my body FROZE! Every eye was on me and he stood up and got down on one knee and asked me for his hand in marriage. For a moment, life flashed right before my eyes and I screamed YEESSSSSSSS!!!!! The whole restaurant started applauding and the waiter with five other guys circled the table and sung a song. I was so overjoyed I can’t even remember what they were singing. A woman bought shots for everyone as a sweet gift and celebration. It’s like the whole restaurant knew what was going on and was on one accord.

Anything super unique about the big day?
This wedding set a new bar for the area, which usually has more rustic or traditional styled weddings. The Walker’s had a very classy and upscale wedding. The bride hand-selected every detail to include:
– Black and Gold Plaques for invitations
– 12 tier cake that was spinning
– 2 customs dresses by well-known designers – Ice sculptures with orchid floral centerpieces at the reception – Beyoncé style performance at reception (Bride and Dance Company) – Send-off was in a black chic Lamborghini

Even with all these show-stopping moments the couples favorite part of the affair is that they celebrated with all of our closest family and friends present.

Any tips you would share with other couples getting married? “
It’s your day and you make it how you want to make it, whether if it’s traditional or traditional with a twist!” – Kimerea

“A wedding day is your red carpet moment. Be true to self, but don’t hold back on dreaming for this once and a lifetime celebration.”

Ceremony & Reception
Tell us about your ceremony décor.
The aisle had white columns with glass cylinders and floating candles. At the alter there was a 9ft custom-built candle wall filled with more glass cylinders and floating candles.

A mirror style runner was placed before the bride came down the aisle.

What inspired your reception style?
The bride knows what she likes and likes to push the envelope to give her guests an experience they would remember. It really was Shreveport’s wedding of the year.

Describe your cake.
The wedding cake was 12 tiers of almond and buttercream
(all real cake). Each tier was jeweled with custom design elements by Georgia Girl Cakery and topped with a glass roman numeral 21. The cake was staged on a blinged-out rotating table.

Grooms cake was a red velvet, Pittsburgh Steeler’s stadium with lights.
